In the ruins of the Sun Engine in the Mistmarches, Kael lays his hands on a Solar Stone for the first time with full awareness. What follows is not an explosion and not an attack — it is a connection. A vision of the past. The Chrona Stone shows him what was: a world before the Breaking, a machine that held the sun together, and the moment it failed.
The first touch changes Kael permanently. Silver conduits form within his body. He sees the currents more clearly. And he begins to understand what he is — not merely someone who can see the Solar Stones.
